对某些人而言，高路单车赛是不可能的任务，另一些人却可以完成。除了精神力量，这两类人之间并没有什么大的差别，当然还需要漫长的训练。作为世界上难度最大、海拔最高的自行车赛，高路单车赛将横跨法国阿尔比斯山、比利牛斯山、罗麦特山、瑞士阿尔卑斯山等最神秘的山地。其困难难以名状，是名副其实的挑战。
